Privacy Policy

In the course of its business of originating, underwriting, selling and servicing loan participations, and acting as financial advisor to lenders and borrowers, Northland Networks, Inc. (“Northland”) collects non-public personal information about individuals and organizations.

Northland restricts access to this information to the employees who need it in order to conduct the business of the firm and the client. Employees who have access to personal information are required to protect it and keep it confidential. Northland maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your non-public personal information.

Northland may intentionally disclose non-public personal information to non-affiliated third parties, as allowed by law, in order to conduct the business of the firm and of the client. Such disclosures could be made to:

  • Banks that are considering specific loan participations, for their own underwriting and decision-making processes;
  • Banks participating in specific loans, for their own underwriting documentation, regulatory requirements and loan servicing;
  • Third-party providers of customer service support and account maintenance;
  • Legal and regulatory entities in response to a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with an inquiry by a government agency or regulator;
  • Providers of Northland’s electronic systems in the course of developing and maintaining Northland’s electronic systems.

These non-affiliated third parties are required to protect the confidentiality and security of this information, and to use it only in accordance with Northland’s instructions for the agreed-upon purposes.

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person or entity that opens an account. Northland’s loan documentation provides banks with personal information required by the U.S. Patriot Act’s Customer Identification Program. Required information includes each client’s name, address, date of birth, government-issued identification number and other information that allows individuals to be identified.

In connection with the uses described above, Northland may transfer personal information to and among other Northland Capital Holdings, Inc. affiliated companies.

NORTHLAND DOES NOT SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH OUTSIDE ENTITIES FOR MARKETING PURPOSES. NORTHLAND DOES NOT SELL OR GIVE INFORMATION TO OTHER COMPANIES FOR INCLUSION ON MAILING LISTS OR FOR ANY OTHER UNSOLICITED PURPOSE.
