Mr. Beese is a founder and Managing Director of Northland Securities, Inc. and a member of Northland’s Board of Directors. Over his 20-year career, Mr. Beese has worked in many areas of the securities business including originations, financial advisory, trading, underwriting and investment banking. He currently focuses on the underwriting and placement of taxable and tax-exempt fixed-income bond issues. He specializes in non-profit housing and health care financings. Mr. Beese has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Northwestern University and a Master's in Finance from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the Twin Cities Bond Club and a Board Member of the Minnesota Institute of Public Finance. |

Mr. Kahn brings over 20 years of industry experience to his banking clients throughout the United States. His particular expertise is in commercial lending and securities portfolio investments. He has done graduate work at the University of St. Thomas and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. While at Northern State University, he played Center Linebacker for the Northern State Wolves. He makes his home in Maple Grove, Minnesota, with his wife, Jan, and their two children.

Mr. Merry is a career investment banker with more than 25 years of municipal and corporate finance experience. At Northland, Mr. Merry’s focus is on the origination and underwriting of commercial and real estate loan products for distribution to the firm's institutional clients. Prior to joining Northland, he specialized in a variety of complex transactions in the areas of commercial real estate, health care, industry and energy. Mr. Skarich is a Vice President of Northland Securities, Inc. He has over a decade of experience in addressing municipal finance needs at the state, county and municipal levels. Nick specializes in all aspects of economic development including industrial development, non-profits, tax increment, tax abatement and housing. Financings include industrial development bonds (IDBs), taxable and tax-exempt municipal bonds and taxable corporate bonds, commercial loan syndications and the placement/sale of tax increment revenue notes. Projects include commercial facilities, hospitality, gaming, industrial facilities, housing, hospitals, nursing homes and other non-profits. Nick received an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University. |

For the past 20 years, Mr. Seidel has utilized his knowledge of both the municipal bond markets and the commercial banking industry to assist municipalities, non-profit organizations, commercial enterprises and Tribal governments in financing $4.9 billion worth of various revenue-based enterprises. These enterprises include commercial office buildings, health care ventures, higher educational facilities, multi-family housing projects, cash anticipation programs, Native American infrastructure, aquaculture, education and gaming-related activities, mining projects and golf courses. He has extensive experience in financing start-up projects that rely on the revenues created by the project and not the government sponsor of the project. He was a Commissioner on the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which owns and operates the Hubert Humphrey Metrodome on behalf of the people of Minnesota, and which is charged with finding alternative financing solutions for financing new stadiums for the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Gophers football team. Mr. Seidel has an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and has a BA from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
